Not sure why Amazon is flashing that big “Black Friday Deal 33% Off” tag on this Breville machine. The price history tells a totally different story.
From Nov 1 to Nov 10, it was sitting comfortably at around $347, which was actually a solid price. Then suddenly, between Nov 11 and Nov 20, it spiked all the way up to $575 for no real reason. And now they’ve dropped it to $399 and are projecting it like some massive Black Friday discount, which I found using Buyhatke chrome extension
But in reality, this “deal” is still $50 more than what it was earlier this month during this same Black Friday period. The 33% off label looks great until you actually check the price history.

yup they do this often. which is why you should always use those price tracking plugins
That’s why being too liberal on economy is shit. In Switzerland it is forbidden to make fake promos like those.
pretty normal to me
check camelcamelcamel for those who dont use plugin
In Denmark, this would be illegal. The “new” high price must last at least 30 days before they can advertise a lower price as a sale, potentially costing them sales in the interim. So in this case, Amazon would’ve had to increase the price on 25 October, and keep it up until 25 November to advertise a sale on 26 November.
Don’t use Amazon
I stopped using Amazon a while ago and buy from other, smaller shops instead.
And the water is hot.
Please EU make mandatory for likes of Amazon to show price history for a product

That’s illegal in many countries, all of for example Scandinavia iirc.
Isn’t that illegal in most countries.
