I slept from like 11-230, checked on the smoker, then up again at 4 and haven’t really slept again since. Brisket is resting on the counter right now getting ready for a cooler nap…I’m either going to try and sleep a bit after that or I may just crack a beer myself.

Actually, “Smoker is on” means “Time for a beer”. Likewise, “Is the smoker on?” translates to “Is it time for a beer?”.
As long as the smoker is on, there’s no such thing. Don’t be a rookie, pace yourself.

Never understood why it’s cool to drink a Mimosa or Bloody Mary first thing, but somehow, drinking a beer, or a few shots is taboo… 🤷♂️

On T-Day I usually start with a little Bourbon in my morning coffee then hit the beer when the first puff of smoke rolls off the smoker . I WILL survive the in-laws !

Short answer no. However you need to calculate beers per hour versus buzz level and compare to hours left to smoke. Nobody likes a drunk smoker and dried meat lol
