That’s absolutely gorgeous. I’d pay for a slice of that

Yes it’s too rare and ruined so give it to me I’ll take it off your hands

Very nice! How did it taste? That looks professional to me.

A white tear just ran down my leg. Well done brother

Did you want it more well-done?  If so, yes, too rare.  For me, no, that’s exactly where I want rib roast.

Tell us how you made it so we know what not to do😂

Beautiful! I make a pot of ajus, if you dont like medium rare then medium it up in the ajus

That’s beautiful wall to wall pink. I’d love it. It would probably need 15-20 more minutes for most folks in my family to be satisfied.

  9. Looks perfect to me. Also, great job with no grey band.

Zooming in on the fat, looks perfectly rendered. Prime Rib should look exactly like that and is perfect, great cook!

Holy hell no. That’s perfection. Trying to talk the family into letting me do prime rib for Christmas, but they like their overdone turkey 😛

Hell no!!! That’s about perfect brother. I might take it a few degrees less if that fat melts!

Just about as good as you can do. Looks like it will taste amazing! Great job

Title: “Is it too rare? Are my family right? Am I a disappointment and did a bad job cooking? 🥺”

    Caption: “I did it.”

I think you can still save it if you rush it to Intensive Care.

Not my preference but a ton of people would say that it is cooked perfectly.

I don’t care for prime rib but I have to say that this is the best looking prime rib I have ever seen.

A good piece of that is enough to delight with a glass of wine, don’t you believe it!!!

Nope, you did perfect. For people who want it cooked more, I usually have a hot pot of jus nearby that I just drop it in for 10-30 seconds.

    Here’s mine:
    Always use a probe thermometer
    30-40 minutes per pound
    200 degrees
Rest for 2+ hours until dinner time.
Blast at 500 degrees for 8-12 minutes to get crust
    Slice and serve.

I’m assuming your family said was too rare.

Here is an easy solution for family that complain. Have a hot cast iron skillet on the stove let them ruin there meat to their hearts content.

    Looks perfect to me.

I’ll give you treefiddy for a slice!
