Saw this promo art on their website, it felt like AI but I couldn't quite be sure, lo and behold, opening the link to the image in another tab and it's from chatGPT. Cmon guys, $80/per person isn't enough to get a few hours of time from an actual artist?

The yellow filter on it seems to be a common AI thing now. Even the Spec’s billboard I saw earlier has it. Weird times.

  2. Man, Birdies just keeps getting worse with time in basically every possible way

The typefaces ChatGPT uses are a dead giveaway. Once you recognize them, you see it everywhere.

    What’s wrong with this?

Sorry I don’t even like Birdie’s but it seems like a silly thing to demonize them for

This is unrelated to food, but Austin Roverworks (land rover auto shop) uses a ton of AI on their social media and even their office. There were like AI-designed t shirts and posters.

It was really off-putting and lazy. Genuinely bummed me out.

I’m never going to Birdie’s again after seeing them using AI advertising.

I’m already not going to Birdie’s again after eating there once and finding it to be an expensive disappointment, but I’m extra not eating there again after this.

Real talk, who did Birdie’s pay off to get all the accolades they have? Normal people seem to think it’s mediocre at best, but all the magazines/food publications salivate over it in a way that is kinda embarrassing.

This really does suck. Makes me a lot less likely to go back.

I think the bigger criticism of Birdie’s is them losing several key employees over the last few months and quality taking an obvious hit because of it and not some generic advertisement.

We should all boycott business that use this type of AI. Absolutely disgusting

Should already be obvious it’s fake as there is no way that view of downtown is possible with penny backer bridge being in frame. Plus the Empire State Building got moved to Austin somehow?

$80/pp with counter service was all I need to know about this place.

As long as they don’t AI their recipes. But who knows?!

I just picked up a new expression, and it applies here: some of you really need to “touch grass.”

Running a restaurant is brutally hard and getting worse every day. Most places are surviving on 1–3% profit margins, while labor and food costs keep rising. I’m going to miss little spots like Birdie’s when all we’ve got left are Taco Bells and brawndo.

You can immediately tell with the fonts and some of the designs that more and more businesses and other things around are using it. It’s sad.

i work in marketing for a large tech company, and we use both AI and real artist’s work. the funny thing is, is even when we are using a human artist’s work for an ad, there’s always a ton of comments calling us out for using AI. it’s actually pretty entertaining. I know in this case, it is indeed AI, but that’s not always the case, and the fake outrage makes no sense.
