New Delhi: The French Dairy Board (CNIEL), with support from the European Union, concluded an exciting series of flavour-forward culinary engagements in the capital as part of the third chapter of its “Full of Character” campaign. The latest edition spotlighted a unique theme — French Cheese Meets Indian Street Food — blending European craftsmanship with India’s vibrant, street-style food culture.
Led by award-winning French cheesemonger Francois Robin, the events highlighted a curated selection of premium French cheeses including Brie, Comté, Camembert, Emmental, and others — thoughtfully paired with the bold spices and textures of India’s most-loved street delicacies.
An exclusive influencer workshop at Kakapo, Delhi, brought together leading culinary creators and food bloggers for an immersive introduction to the versatility of French cheese in everyday Indian meals. Through tasting sessions, fusion recipe demos, and interactive cheeseboard activities, participants discovered how French cheese can elevate local snacks with refined European flavour profiles.
The day also hosted a vibrant networking reception for chefs, restaurateurs, culinary media, and industry professionals. Guests sampled innovative tasting menus celebrating the campaign theme — showcasing how French cheese can seamlessly integrate into Indian culinary expressions. The curated fusion experiences sparked conversations around creativity, global food trends, and the evolving role of European cheese in Indian kitchens.
“India’s love for rich and nuanced flavours blends beautifully with the depth and diversity of French cheese. This year, we are celebrating this union of cultures — where tradition meets innovation on the plate,” said Emilie Martin, Managing Director APAC at CNIEL. “The enthusiasm we’ve witnessed in Delhi reinforces our commitment to continue inspiring Indian consumers and the culinary community.”
Furthering its engagement with the next generation of culinary talent, CNIEL conducted a hands-on training workshop with students at APCA, Gurgaon, led by Francois Robin. The session introduced aspiring chefs to the craftsmanship, heritage, and application of French cheeses in modern Indian gastronomy.
A Sustainable Journey of Taste
