I was a little confused where all the bones in my ribs went. I guess it's a good source of calcium at least

My dinner is in my throat and trying to make a break for it. My fault for being literate though.o

that ain’t food, that’s a crime scene. This should legit be labeled NSFL (not safe for lunch).

Nothing like a tender boning to go with a nice dinner.

I over cooked my rib on an instapot before, the end cartilage broke down and I ended up eating bits of bone.

When my sister was little, one dinner, she just started crunching on food that’s supposed to be soft. Someone asks, “uhhhh what are you eating?” She says, “Bone.” We were all taken aback and my parents stopped buying bone-in chicken forever lmao.

Also how are ribs so tender that the bone doesn’t crunch even achieved? Seems kinda nasty.

I’ve done this with chicken bones but never pork rib bones.
I’m curious how the meat was. Was it super mushy?

Regardless, if the bones are that tender I go ahead and eat them. Tons of flavor, vitamins, and minerals

    Edit: a word

Why do I feel like this was some sort of degenerative bone disease that you’re eating

  8. If its enjoyable just eat it. Bone is edible as long as its safe

paging someone who can maybe explain what could possibly make this happen because something is really not fucking right with that

it is really good for you, I recommend putting bones in a slow cooker if you want free vitamins

also fish bones in the microwave make a good snack

  11. I had some ribs tonight and some of the “bones” were just cartilage. I ended up starting to chew through one by accident but just kept chewing because I have some mild chronic tendon sports injury and I figured i needed it.

Idk if this is the answer…but once in elementary school I did a science project where I put bones in vinegar and it made them bendy. I know lots of bbq sauce has vinegar in it, so possibly with heat it will accelerate the process?

Gotta get some marrow somehow. 🤷

That’s a great source of calcium and phosphorus, bro.

Bone marrow is sooooooo good tho, I’d keep eating them

Gummies are made out of bones so there is that. And I like em :3

How long were these cooked to soften the bone?!? That has to take like multiple days of simmering. Are you sure it’s not cartridge, I’m not sure if you can cook meat that much without it actually falling apart or becoming jerky.

I eat the bones all the time (when possible), delicious.
