Looking for a festive place to enjoy a nice meal with the family this year?

You don’t need to look far. Cape Cod has plenty of restaurants dedicated to holiday cheer, offering not only great food, but also the perfect environment to enjoy during the holiday season. With lights, ornaments, poinsettas, garland and more, these restaurants are sure to put anyone in a jolly mood.

Here are five festive restaurants on the Cape to dine at this holiday season.

Alberto’s Ristorante

Alberto’s Ristorante offers a casually elegant dining experience on Hyannis’ Main Street, with a focus on authentic Italian food made from the freshest ingredients. Enjoy homemade pasta and live jazz piano music while surrounded by lush garland, glimmering lights, a roaring fireplace and beautiful red bows.

Alberto’s is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 360 Main St. in Hyannis. Reservations can be made through the restaurant’s website.

Chatham Bars Inn

Of course, Chatham Bars Inn is an obvious choice for dining during the holidays, as the resort hosts special holiday events like a Christmas grand buffet and a New Year’s Day Celebration. Besides the food, Chatham Bars Inn also goes all out with decorating their two year-round restaurants: STARS and Sacred Cod.

Enjoy a fine dining experience with a farm-to-table concept at STARS, or relax in a comfortable tavern setting at Sacred Cod. Either way, you will feel like you’re eating inside a holiday Hallmark movie, surrounded by lit Christmas trees, potted poinsettas, miniature wreaths and more.

Information about each individual restaurant, including hours of operation and reservations, can be found on the Chatham Bars Inn dining website. The resort is located at 297 Shore Road in Chatham.

Buca’s Tuscan Roadhouse

With an extensive Italian wine list and a menu full of authentic Italian dishes from pasta pomodoro to Tuscan seafood stew, Buca’s Tuscan Roadhouse will transport you to an intimate Italian trattoria in the rolling hills of Tuscany.

During the holiday season, lights, greenery and ornaments hang overhead, and a large Christmas tree fills the entire dining room with light and warmth.

Buca’s is open for dinner from 4:30-9 p.m. every day. The restaurant highly recommends making reservations, which can be made by visiting OpenTable or calling 508-432-6900. Located at 4 Depot Road in Harwich.

Liz’s Cafe

Head up to Provincetown to enjoy a festive yet casual meal at Liz’s Cafe, a charmingly rustic American eatery decked out in historic maritime decor.

This time of year, however, the restaurant’s coastal theme gets a festive touch, with snowflakes and cascading lights hanging from the ceiling, ornaments lining the window frames and wrapped gift boxes attached to the walls. Guests can even choose to dine in an outdoor igloo throughout the winter.

Liz’s Cafe offers all three meals, with breakfast or lunch hours from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Monday, and dinner hours from 5-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday or 5-9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Reservations are accepted through Resy for dinner only.

Located at 31 Bradford St. in Provincetown.

Carluccio’s Trattoria

Nestled in the village of Forestdale, Carluccio’s Trattoria puts a fresh, modern twist on authentic family Italian recipes in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Lights, ornaments and bows do not only line the restaurant’s large Christmas tree, but also its walls, windows and ceilings, making guests feel like they’ve stepped into the North Pole.

Carluccio’s is open at 79 MA-130 in Forestdale from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
