I made a very large batch of the Frikadeller (meatballs) to freeze and use throughout the month. The recipe came from “Scandinavian Comfort Food: Embracing the Art of Hygge” by Trine Hahnemann and Columbus Leth.
* 500g/1 lb 2 oz minced (ground) beef * 500g/1 lb 2 oz minced (ground) pork * 2 onions, finely chopped * 4 garlic cloves, grated * 2 Tbsp thyme leaves, chopped * 2 red chillies, finely chopped * 3 eggs * 100g/1 3/4 cup breadcrumbs * 50g/6 Tbsp plain (all-purpose) flour * 200ml/2/4 cup whole milk * 1-2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil * 2-3 Tbsp butter * Sea salt and freshly ground pepper
Preheat oven to 180C/350F. Mix the meats, onion, garlic, thyme, chillies, and eggs together. Stir un breadcrumbs and flour. Lastly, mix in the milk, salt and pepper. Shape into balls and brown. Put on a baking sheet and into the oven until cooked through, about 10 minutes.
The mashed turnips and carrots are boiled until soft, then mashed, add the amount of butter and milk or cream to your liking.
The yogurt dressing is delicious (combine all ingredients below)!
* 2 Tbsp chopped parseley * 2 Tbsp chopped dill * 2 Tbsp chopped mint * 2 Tbsp lemon juice * 1 3/4 cup yogurt

Ohhh this is so close to Swedish meatballs!
Skip the chillies and yoghurt. Put honey, mustard and soysauce in the meat mix. Make a gracy/cream sauce with 30-40% cream, put it in the same pan you fried meatballs in with some butter and soysauce and meat fund/stock.
