    I still do some a1 if im in the mood for tang. But yea, a great steak needs nothing.

    Then again I dip a perfect steak in ketchup, childhood leather memories and all.

    Mostly its just salt pepper and a garlic beef bullion butter after cook. Little msg on the brining period.

    I still eat this but yeah cooked a little too long, anything past medium is too much. I love a hot steak all the way through, I’ve gotten a lot better over time, you will too.

    I can understand slathering it with A1, ketchup, or mayonnaise being a problem, but horseradish, some high-grade mustard, chimichurri, or an amazing pan sauce would be amazing on it!

    At the end of the day, the best steak is the cut you like prepared the way you enjoy. If someone wants to boil an A5 waygu filet mignon hard in diet coke and mint, then top it with grape jelly and parsley, then let them live their life.

    When you overcook your steak, it is acceptable to put steak sauce on it. Once it’s ruined you can’t re-ruin it.

    I’ll be honest. If a steak looks overcooked, I would welcome sauce because that looks pretty dry.
