1998 Château Léoville Las Cases Saint-Julien

Opened up this beautiful left-bank Bordeaux from the year I was born. Paired with a wild boar ragu.

Nose: Smoke, oak, cedar and dark fruit
Palate: Medium body, thinner than I would have expected, medium tannins, and a short finish. Lots of oak, earthy notes and cassis. Overall well balanced and really enjoyable
