The Beefy Boys BBQ was named the 15th Best BBQ Joint in the World, outside the United States of America, by The Underseasoned BBQ Show, a “leading” international podcast dedicated to barbecue culture.

The team, made up of childhood friends, unveiled their Hereford BBQ Nights in collaboration with pit master, Ashley Tunley, six months ago, and have now been praised for their authentic Texas-style food, which is blended with “British creativity”.

The “indulgent” menu includes low and slow-cooked items such as smoked beef brisket, pork belly, hot honey burnt ends, maple-brined turkey, Hereford hotlink sausages, and beef cheeks, served with homemade sides such as mac and cheese, brisket pit beans and mustard maple slaw.

The Beefy Boys co-founder Anthony ‘Murf’ Murphy said: “We’ve only been running our Hereford BBQ Nights for six months, so to be recognised on a global list like this is mind-blowing.

“We set out to bring authentic, wood-smoked, low and slow American barbecue to Hereford after travelling across the States.

“To be named one of the best BBQ restaurants in the world means everything to us.”
The team previously finished in fourth place in the World Food Championships in 2024 and had one of their burgers crowned the Best Burger in the UK in 2023.

The restaurant’s BBQ nights first began as an invite-only experience, which sold out every time. However, due to high demand, they’ve now been opened to all.
