On a sunny and brisk fall afternoon, a ceremony officially welcomed a new restaurant to Endicott’s Little Italy neighborhood.

Di Cotta’s, an Italian fine dining restaurant, held a ribbon-cutting on Nov. 24, just under a week after its official opening on Nov. 18. According to Di Cotta’s General Manager Eric Janowsky, the restaurant will focus on fresh ingredients and exemplary service.

“Our approach is to use high-quality ingredients and give them a lot of care, not overworking anything but really paying attention to the details,” said Janowsky. “The service as well — we are very focused on providing a very hospitable experience.”

Janowsky said the restaurant has seen a few dishes, including its meatballs and handmade pasta and bread, emerge as crowd favorites over the first week.

The restaurant took over the former location of Antonio’s Bar & Trattoria at 100 Oak Hill Ave., an Endicott staple that closed in 2024 after 18 years of service. To ensure the legacy of Antonio’s lives on, Di Cotta’s will be serving Antonio’s gelato in the restaurant.

“The community is very tight-knit, and everyone supports each other,” said Janowsky. “For us to be able to take a place where a lot of locals have made memories and welcome them in to make a new memory means a lot to us.”

The restaurant is open from 4-11 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 4 p.m. to midnight Friday-Saturday, with the kitchen closing at 9 p.m. each night.
