


Wasn’t able to do the turkey I wanted to as my wife and I had to be on separate coasts and my family insisted I deep fry a turkey for them as I have done in the past. Now my wife and I and all the kids are home bd I got to try my hand at a bacon weave covered bird, pulled the bacon off an hour before the turkey was done. She’s resting now while my wife finishes the sides.

For anyone wondering it’s a 15.33 lb bird. Seasoned under the bacon is a mixture of melted Butter, chopped garlic, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, salt, black pepper, & cayenne pepper. The butter was allowed resolidify with the bird in the fridge so it would hold the spices in place. Then the bacon was weaved and drizzled with some lemon juice and on it was sprinkled with more garlic powder, salt, both types pepper again, oregano and also parsley with butter pads.
