If you have headed down to Manchester’s Christmas Markets this year, or another across the country, it is likely you will have seen Christmas Yorkshire Pudding Wraps. These festive treats are a staple for Manchester’s Christmas markets, as well as many others, however they often come with a hefty cost.

Aldi however has recently their own festive Specially Selected Yorkshire Pudding Wrap which allows shoppers to pick up all their favourite parts of a traditional Christmas dinner, in a convenient Yorkshire pudding wrap for less than £3.50.

The item, costing £3.49 and designed as an all-in-one alternative to a festive roast dinner, features tender British turkey, pork sausage, bacon, stuffing and cranberry sauce, all wrapped inside a Yorkshire pudding. Aldi also announced the Yorkshire Pudding Wrap is designed to offer ‘the best parts of a Christmas dinner wrapped up’, and so is also served with a gravy dip to add a festive finishing touch.

With the festive wrap having now landed on Aldi’s shelves, it also appears that the unique item has been an instant hit with shoppers, with some customers who have already tried the wrap, suggesting their lunch is now “sorted”.

On the popular Facebook page Newfoodsuk many shoppers have been praising Aldi’s new festive creation. One shopper, Simon Knox, commented: “Really enjoyed it, well packed with sausage, stuffing bacon but it could do with a bit more turkey. The gravy was really tasty as well, would definitely buy it again.”

A second Aldi shopper, Beverly Evans, also wrote: “Had one yesterday they are lovely put it in the air fryer and gravy in microwave.” Another shopper, Anita Hanson Smith, then added: “Had one today, very filling and gravy was tasty.”

With the Yorkshire Pudding Wrap appearing to be a hit with shoppers, one Aldi customer SSteve CCross also suggested the item had “sorted” their lunch. Another shopper, Craig Lowrie, also quipped: “14/15 of these? Xmas dinner sorted.”

However some shoppers have appeared disappointed by some elements of Aldi’s Yorkshire Pudding Wrap, with some suggesting a change to the item.

On Facebook, one shopper, Steve Cann, queried: “Why put something like cranberry in these? Not everyone enjoys cranberry, why not put it in a sachet so you can add or not?”

However overall many shoppers have appeared to be impressed by the item, as on Facebook one shopper, Tracy Geraldine Room, wrote: “Had one today absolutely delicious.”

Aldi’s Yorkshire Pudding Wrap dropped onto shop shelves last week and are now available to pick up in stores for £3.49.
