ROME, N.Y. — The Rome Rescue Mission is seeking community support to provide holiday meals for over 800 families this Christmas.
The mission is in need of food, unwrapped toys and monetary donations.
Food needed includes ham, baked beans, pasta, sauce, canned veggies and potatoes.
Donations can be made at 413 East Dominick St. from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends.
The mission will host its Christmas meal on Thursday, Dec. 25 at 12:30 p.m. following a prayer service.
It will also be open on Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., serving breakfast, lunch and dinner at 4 p.m.
Meal deliveries will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 24 at various locations, including Colonial I, Colonial II, Madison Plaza, Valentine, Rome Mall Apartments and Georgian Arms Apartments.
The Rome Rescue Mission continues to serve over 200 meals daily.
