A Mediterranean restaurant and bar chain has launched a new location in Kent. Ego at The Copperfield is now open for business in the village of Shorne, near Gravesend and Strood.
Having transformed the former Stonehouse establishment along Gravesend Road, the space has been completely redesigned; the interior décor blending rustic Mediterranean styles with contemporary aesthetics.
This joins a revamped bar and kitchen, updated patio areas and improved beer garden which overlooks the Thames Estuary.
The new menu features a range of dishes from across the Mediterranean, including stone-baked pizzas and Coquilles St Jacques, which comprises scallops and king prawns in a rich cheese sauce, and Calamari Fritti.
These join a selection of classic and modern desserts such as raspberry and almond frangipane tart, Callebaut white chocolate and raspberry crème brûlée or lemon tart.
From the bar, guests can choose from a variety of cocktails, mocktails, red and white wines, beers and soft drinks. The restaurant can cater up to 134 covers in the internal dining area and up to 56 covers in the patio and beer garden areas outside.
