In the presence of Deputy Foreign Minister Edmondo Cirielli, Inalpi President Ambrogio Invernizzi and numerous personalities from the Italian and French institutional, economic, business and cultural worlds, the Italian Embassy in Paris last night hosted the closing event of the programming in France of the 10th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Paris Office of the Ice Agency, Inalpi, and Michelin-starred chef Gian Piero Vivalda of the Antica Corona Reale in Cervere (Cuneo, Italy), who signed a menu inspired by Piedmontese products and traditions and conceived together with Inalpi.

The annual review, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, is one of the central events in the program of the diplomatic consular network and Italian Cultural Institutes abroad, with the organization over the past 10 years of more than 10,000 events in more than 100 countries.

In opening the event, Vice Minister Cirielli stressed that “Italian cuisine is a heritage as diverse as it is shared, which in addition to being a symbol of our identity and a driving factor of our exports, strengthens and provides continuous inspiration for Italy’s commitment in the field of food security, through humanitarian aid, the development cooperation strategy and the Mattei Plan.” In her greeting to the participants, Italy’s Ambassador to Paris Emanuela D’Alessandro remarked on the importance of the agri-food sector in the framework of Italian exports to France: with 6.5 billion euros in 2024, it accounts for more than 10 percent of Italian exports to the country. In highlighting the closeness between Rome and Paris on the main issues on the bilateral and European agenda, particularly in the agrifood sphere, the ambassador indicated how “Italy and France together can assert a strong voice in favor of an agrifood model that is not limited to producing more, but that produces better, respecting the environment, health and territories.”
The event was also attended by Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, who was in Paris for a trilateral meeting with the French and German interior ministers dedicated to immigration issues ahead of the Justice and Home Affairs Council scheduled for Dec. 8 in Brussels.

This year, the Embassy and Consulates General of Italy in Paris, Metz, Marseille, Lyon and Nice, together with the Institutes taliani di Cultura in Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon and Marseille, the Ice Agency, Enit and the Italian Chambers of Commerce of Nice-Côte d’Azur, Lyon and Marseille organized a total of 41 initiatives in more than 10 cities throughout France.
