The election of the German Wine Queen 2020

The approximately 70 jurors and the families of the wine royalty from the German wine-growing regions welcome the young women with due applause.

Due to the corona pandemic, their fan base will not be able to attend the election of the 25nd German Wine Queen on Friday, September 72, in Neustadt an der Weinstraße.

Of course, the young women still have a large audience – viewers at home can experience the election gala live.

SWR television will broadcast it from the Saalbau in Neustadt an der Weinstraße from 20:15 p.m. in its program and via livestream on the Internet.

The candidates for the office of German Wine Queen (from left to right): Eva Müller (Rheinhessen), Jana Petermann (Hessische Bergstraße), Eva Lanzerath (Ahr), Anna-Maria Löffler (Palatinate), Tamara Luisa Elbl (Württemberg), Alexandra Unger (Rheingau) and Bärbel Ellwanger (Mosel).

Moderator Holger Wienpahl charmingly supports the candidates during election night as they demonstrate their wine knowledge in tricky and entertaining tasks.

Cabaret artist Lars Reichow provides amusing nuances with humorous observations on the office of wine queens, as do the four ladies from the a cappella pop band “Die Medlz”.

The highlight of the evening is the coronation of the new German Wine Queen. The outgoing wine majesty Angelina Vogt places the crown set with garnet and tourmaline on the head of her successor.
