The common tale this time of year: a forecast cold snap (0° C / 32° F) has inspired me to harvest all my ripe habaneros.
Four types of habanero: 225 pods, 539 grams total. The top group might be a scotch bonnet cross, but I'm grouping it in.
I'm lightly insulating my plants. Simple mitigation: large, translucent garbage bags. Given it should be only an hour or so at the freezing point, I am optimistic they'll make it through. I'm hoping for the good fortune of another couple of weeks above freezing after that to allow remaining pods to ripen.
