There was a Lowry’s casual restaurant in a mall next door to my office at one point, and they made excellent, non-creamy tortilla soup. The restaurant doesn’t exist anymore, and I’ve looked for the recipe online, but I guess others didn’t love it as much as I did because I’ve never seen any articles or attempts to recreate it. I even emailed the company for the recipe when I saw their other brands of restaurants don’t serve tortilla soup, but they didn’t get back to me.
