Pics are awful, the seller doesn’t know what he has. $150, it’s the 21.5qt model. That’s all I know about it. I’ve been using prestos but have been on the lookout for a cheap All American. I see what looks like mineral buildup in the canner but can’t tell anything else about it. Thoughts? Does it look like it’s missing anything? I’ve never used an All American before.

Make sure to inspect the seal edge of the lid and the mating surface of the pot. If it gets dinged or galled from lack of lubrication, it may leak. This is an older model before they switched to a vent pipe and weight, but I believe it can be retrofitted if desired. $150 is quite high for my area (the upper Midwest) but this may be a regional thing.
All American recommends retrofitting the petcock with a vent pipe and regulator weight. You might also want to replace the steam gauge at the same time. Factor that into the total price.

Make sure the bottom lies completely flat. If it doesn’t, that means it was overheated or boiled dry at some point causing it to warp.
Red hill general store sells a plethora of parts for these things
I would be HORRIFIED to buy one of these used from someone if I didn’t personally know them, and know them to be the original owner.
I’ve seen this exact brand and model in the “clean room” at shady tattoo parlors. Hold out for a new one!
