After baking at home for over ten years, I realized I never bothered to attempt to make a cookie. Five months later, multiple flours here, different types of chocolates there, and sheets of toasted milk powder in between, finally created something I'm proud of. I'm sure this might get lost in the wash of cookies that get posted here, there are many like it but this one is mine. Making sure I can replicate before attempting to sell for the first time this Valentine's Day. Three inches wide, one inch thick. Still satisfies. (now an NSFW post)

  1. This looks incredible! Can you share more about what types of chocolate you ended up with, flours used, etc? Just curious what your mix is. I love a thick cookie and this looks perfectly baked.

Wow. Do you bake them in a mold to get them so perfectly round?

  3. Icy-Sail6212

The recipe development process with all the experimentation and trial-and-error has to be the most fun part of baking (besides eating the yummy things and feeding people!)

Ohhhh! I have some of those silicone egg molds for breakfast sandwiches… Need to try something like this soon. I don’t think I’ll get much browning against the silicone though. 🤔

I didn’t know it could take 4 months to make a batch of cookies. Hopefully you’ll find a way to make them so it doesn’t take that long 😆

So something like a cakie? They look so, so good! I don’t have the hugest sweet tooth and this looks like it would be perfect for me.

Where is the recipe? Okay they look good, but do they taste good? Where is the recipe? Post the recipe what is wrong with you.

The best cookie is the cookie that you like.
I have the best recipe and I love it.

    This doesn’t look like mine.

These look outstanding. How’s the interior texture? Cakey or chewy? So sad I’m half a country away and will never get a taste. 😀

This is the perfect cookie IMO. I don’t like those tall mounds that everyone is trying to do. I like a uniform slab. Kudos to your cookies!

Now I have to try milk powder…
