Why do the new leaves on my pepper plant look like this?
This is a trinidadian scorpion pepper plant. I just noticed most of new leaves look like this, but I'm not sure what causing it. I've had it in the ground for a few months now. Zone 10a.

Looks like broadmites? You can’t see them since they are so small. Need to use like a lens or microscope with at least 40x. Can get something cheap off Amazon.

From my experience when i first started out. This would happen when my plant is suffocating. Is the soil to compacted?
