On clearance at my local grocery store. I’m heading back to buy them out. Light, flaky, and fresh tasting.

Agree this is fantastic, but ABC+, any of their trout tins are 100% legendary. Worth the price if you are going to treat yourself.

Go clean that shelf!

Definitely buy them all on clearance. Just for future reference Fangst trout is a lot of people’s favorite and as somebody else mentioned ABC+ has a bunch of really nice trout tins with sauces and so forth (the curry is great). But yeah at the right price I’d clear the shelves of Cole’s no question.

One of my favorite tins. How cheap did you get it?

I catch and cook a lot of trout fishing and even then I still crave this tin every so often.

I literally just had my first tin of this for lunch. On sliced and buttered french bread with green olives and pepperoni. It was so flaky!
echardcore
This was my gateway tin way back.

One of my favorite too.
Try them with smoked paprika, garlic aioli, thyme sprigs, black pepper, and pimento pepper flakes on sliced baguette, warmed in the oven for a few minutes. Toss a castelvetrano olive on top, at the end, if you feel fancy.

I live in eastern Ontario and a few years ago I took my daughter on an overnight trip to upstate New York and I grabbed a few cans of these at a Walmart there (along with the salmon ones). I had one of each that night in our charcuterie board dinner, and stopped and bought two cases to bring home.
Seriously delicious, and if the price is right, I’d clean them out.

100% agree!

These are $3 a can every day at my local Walmart. I’ve been passing them up thinking the brand was subpar but not now. I’ll pick some up next time I’m there. Thanks for the enlightenment!

I really enjoyed fishwife but this was $4. Fishwife would need to lower their prices to $5 for me to go back.

Coles is the best for the price. My fav is the smoked salmon with preserved lemon.
TheRealCerealFirst
If you like this one try Fangst, it like all smoked trout but hands down thats my favorite. (Coles a close second tho)

I just shared the lemon variety of this brand with my dog for lunch the other day. Oh my goodness!
