Stay-cation while my be'be is out of town. Decided to splurge. (Pregamed with Grappa) My true order was Paelle and an overpriced bottle of Chablis.

The “greatest wine of all time” is on a list for 15,900? Guess it’s that one. /s

Even with the ‘47 Cheval, I’m picking the ‘90 DRC La Tache.
So-So-Plankton-69
Where in Mpls is this?

Tap water, hold the ice ….

If I actually had to buy one bottle with my own money from that list it would be the ’62 Monte Bello. I think that was the first vintage of that wine, and I imagine that bottle is probably rarer than the others and is at least somewhat reasonably priced.
False100
Easily the 45 Petrus

the pomerol … favorite region/variety in existence.

One thing for sure: not California.

Has to be the Cheval right I mean that is THE vintage for that wine. And the amount of times I hear that specific wine referenced in popular media is kind of nuts. I’d have to have it with some ratatouille like my boy Anton Ego.

I’m guessing there are other wines on this list I would be more interested in, but from this page, the ’90 La Tache has to be first choice.

Any of the DRC with a bit of an eye on the 2011. I haven’t had a glass of it in over fifteen years (DRC, not the 2011 specifically) and according to the sommelier, it epitomised the brand in all ways and all of them good. All I know is it was quite something, and so different to pinot’s from here, which is always good. Has anyone here tried their chardonnays?
HPHambino
As a person who could never dream of having enough money to afford a wine this rare and expensive, are they saying that if you buy the wine and it’s spoiled, you still have to pay for it?

David Fhima is a helluva chef!!!

I’d be very worried that some of these could be Rudy wines. 47 Cheval Blanc, 45 Petrus, 82 Le Pin, 90 DRC La Tache… these are all labels he was “making.”
Sitting in a private collection that they randomly decided to sell at prices lower than what they’d fetch at auction?
I’d probably get pics and ask Don Cornwell about them…

No one taking a shot at 1990 Harlan!?! That wine has to have some serious tertiary notes and the body to back it up
kirpal777
Those older Dominus were absolutely magical when they used to blend Merlot in it. That 95 stunned me. I became an addict due to that vintage.

1962 Ridge Montebello.

Never had Le Pin. That would be a treat.
Dry_Faithlessness280
Why doesn’t Le Pin ever receive any love? Always seems to be overshadowed by Petrus

I’m MPLS local. I’d be down it split a bottle with some people.

I like the tiny map of French to show the region, implying that someone would spend $32,000 on a wine but not know where Bordeaux is.
Just-Joshinya
Nope. 1945 Petrus.

As a burg lover,
That 82 le pin, 45 petrus or the 47 cheval blanc is hard to pass up as both will be hard to find.
Also been lucky enough to try a few aged DRCs which might be tilting me a bit, but when will I realistically have a chance to try a 47 cheval?
Larsonski
definitly the Petrus Pomerol

What money is this? $ or Rubles?

I know exactly where you are. Last time I was there the wine list was unbelievably spotty. They didn’t have half the bottles advertised and another quarter not the right vintage. And on that quarter, they were charging the price of the advertised vintage and bringing out something else.
Also watched my waiter decant my wine, then dump the last little bit in my glass with all the sediment, completely unaware of what he’d done.
Haven’t been back.
bonk5000
Cheval Blanc and Petrus, of course!
Liammichaelariel
I know it might be toast by now or at the very least leathery and weird (in the best way) but that 1962 Monte bello is calling my name like the green goblin mask.

Top of the list, Cheval Blanc

I’ve had a good mix of DRC. The 2016 La Tache stands out clearly in my memory as one of the best. And probably the best value compared to everything else on the page
Curious_Bonus_3085
1945 Petrus
auvinsetfeuilles
’82 le pin, ’90 and ’16 la tache. nothing else. i’m drinking all three bottles myself and sleeping in the booth.
