Here’s how to eat unshelled prawns. First of all, using your hands, pick one up and pull the head back. Then pull the tail off and then discard the outer shell and eat like so. There’s a finger bowl for you to clean your fingers and then pat them dry on the napkin afterwards.

  1. So eat the prawn with its vein still in?? Should it not be deveined?? Yikes… unhygienic Britishers…

  2. That's the shittest way to peel a prawn. Remove the head, then all the legs. Remove the top 3 large segments of shell then squeeze the tail gently and pull out the entire body of meat. No wastage at all

  3. I always use a knife and fork… Once you have the technique down – its easy and just as quick as fingers but way less messy! Willy – hit me up in the DM's if you want a lesson!!! 😉

  4. Thank you for saying 'napkin'. Everyone I know says 'serviette' or god forbid 'tissue', and I don't know why but it irks me slightly! My grandfather brought me up, he was upper middle class, and always said 'napkin', so it's delightful to hear someone say that. Reminds me of him.

It is quite correct to shell prawns this way, you don't use implements.

  5. Where's the homemade mayonnaise for the shrimp 🍤? (And homemade, please, not the white sweet stuff our dear American friends dare to call mayonnaise 😂)

  6. 🤔 I was thaught to do It with fork and knife when I was little (whish I hated), It is true that nobody do It nowadays (you know, in "posh context like weddings)but I don't know if It is old fashion now or people don't care anymore. Have manners changed or is there a difference between British and Spanish manners there I wonder (you know like the "never put your hands under the table thing)

  7. In Italy we usually eat prawns using a fork and a knife. It is easy enough and a cleaner way to eat them. Also, these prawns look extremely dry, probably done on purpose. But had they been cooked in any other way they would most likely have some fumet inside. In this case we would have seen a stream of fumet slip from his hands to his wrists and cuffs…
I cannot agree with the gentleman this time, sorry.

  8. You can cut the head and tail off and use fork to dig the meat out, it was actually quite easy.

  9. So it's ok to eat shrimp using your hands but it's not ok to eat fries, banana, burger, sandwich, and corn using hands. Makes sense.

  10. How come you can use your fingers on that but not on an orange? Wouldn’t eating oranges and bananas. Be a lot easier without having to cut them with a knife and fork.
