Today is a bittersweet day for me.

Bitter:
My Joule, which I purchased in December of 2016 has not passed on to the other side. RIP

Sweet:

The Breville Joule Turbo sous vide has arrived to take the OG’s place.

**This is a generic reminder message under every image post**

Thank you for your picture post to r/sousvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.

If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.

Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.

    Thank you!!

I’m just amazed almost a decade later you still have the box

Mine recently died too…I REALLY want to replace it with the Turbo, but dang it’s expensive. I think the quality is worth it; but still tough.

The idea of calling a sous vide Turbo kinda cracks me up. Like, this thing is going to hold a precise temperature for an extended period of time fast as fuck.
