One of the most popular recipes on our website! We took the ingredients of a classic Waldorf salad and gave them a more modern twist. In addition to the traditional ingredients like celery, grapes and apple, we add a delicious walnut brittle and a creamy, lighter yogurt-based dressing.
This recipe is my family’s more modern take on a classic Waldorf salad, and it’s become one of the most popular recipes on our site for good reason. Our version starts with a walnut pumpkin seed brittle that adds a ton of texture and a bit of sweetness. We like to add a base of crunchy Roma, and we keep all of the other produce elements, including celery, apples, and red grapes. But we also like to add in some pomegranate and dried cranberries. Instead of a thick mayo dressing, we make ours with a lighter but still creamy yogurt-based dressing. Make this all fall and save it for the holidays.

I would add sunflower seeds, chia seeds, and maybe hemp heart
Yay! No mayo!!
😮😮😮😮😮 looks so fucking good
I’d do pistachio or cashew brittle instead with sunflower, pumpkin and/or flax and chia seeds due to allergies. Yogurt based dressing is right up my alley though! I love the addition of pomegranate in place of something common where I live like raspberry or boysenberry.
