I was coming home from work and stopped by walmart and saw this, cost about $5. Ready to eat, just heat up no need to add water, I did add the green onions, egg (ignore the egg, i was tired and didnt boil it long enough) and corn. If i were to grade it I would give it a 6/10. Noodles were preety good and probably the best part. Soup was ok, not too salty but definitely better than instant ramen. The pork tasted more like canadian bacon than chashu pork. Overall I would get this again if im too lazy and would bring this for work.

The egg doesn’t look bad at all. I’ve seen plenty of soup bowls where a raw or only slightly cooked egg is added.

I keep checking my local Walmarts for this but none seem to be carrying it

OP, where is that WM store ? I’m guessing it is not available everywhere.

edit: the walmart item number is 5889386479. Search for that at walmart.com to see if your store, or any nearby actually have this. Price I’m seeing is ~$6

edit2: none of the stores in north central FL are showing stock

edit3: it does show as available in several Houston SCs

Why is your Walmart so ritzy while mine has only ¼ of the items that most Walmarts are supposed to have. Can’t find anything in store that the site says is there. Heckin’ Walmart and their sad idea of “marketing”

I get these regularly. It’s a bare bones Ramen set up that can be elevated with a nice runny egg and some garnish. Broth and noodles are better than you would expect from a Walmart. The little bit of meat it comes with isn’t bad either. 3-1/2 stars out of five based on price and what you can turn it into with a little extra love

There’s at least 2 flavors I saw this in a central CA coast store, shoyu and tonkotsu; tried both and would rate it a 6/10 too. Noodles were better than expected, we both thought that broth was ‘meh.’ I remember thinking one had too much ginger for our personal taste (can’t recall if that was the shoyu or tonkotsu).

Worth trying once, but I’d rather have Japanese brands of ‘fresh’ packaged noodles, since I have access at local asian grocery stores, although none have the pork like the Walmart ones do.

Also saw Marketside branded Asian foods; soup dumplings (looked bad), gyoza, udon, sushi etc.

I tried the Tonkatsu style. My walmart in Amarillo, Tx carries both flavors. It’s not bad. I would have liked a little more broth but the flavor was decent.

I will try that if I see it in Walmart
