Picked up this Ribeye Roast at Harris Teeter. Harris Teeter is my local grocery store and they occasionally have some good deals in their butcher section.
This wasn't as good as the one they had for Thanksgiving but it's still pretty good. Plus, this has nice marbling. I'm thinking about cooking it for Christmas 🎄🎄🎄!!

Is the nice marbling in the room with us?
They’re probably going to run better prices closer to the holiday
FYI harris teeter is in same ditrobution as Kroger. Good meat whats the question?
You will notice it has no grade so that meat is Select. I would sugest cook low and slow.
Grading aside, this is my favorite cut of beef to eat and cook. End piece, middle piece, I dont care its so fkin good.
Salt and pepper, nothing else. No need to ruin it. Get that sucker medium rare in the center, almost rare so it cooks when it comes off.
You get that crusty salt and pepper fat on the outside and the beef is tender because it wasn’t exposed to direct heat or flame.
One time my mums cooked one for Xmas, took it out of the oven, and rhe whole damn thing fell on the floor. We ate it anyway and called it floor seasoning 🤣
FYI if you have a rotisserie attachment for your grill and try to be cool like me and do one that way, TURN OFF THE CENTER BURNER. fat cap dripping directly into flames = a bad time
Guess im going to the butcher today.
Great price on that
I’m going to be the 10th dentist here, but I greatly prefer my ribeyes in steak form. I’ve tried my entire life to enjoy rib roasts, but they come across as middling, anemic version of the glory of a ribeye steak, AND the best part of the whole cow (the spinalis) is always over cooked.
Lucky SoB 😆😭
Buy them all, vac pack and age them for six weeks
Solid price but I don’t see “nice” marbling
Buy your own beef and get US beef that you want from local US ranchers. It’s less expensive.

Holly crap that’s a great price!!!
Alton Brown just did a video on cooking one of these
Okay, agree about the lack of good marbling. That’s on me for trying to push the goodness of the price. Ooops!
Whats up fellow harris teeter shopper!
Dang I just got $12.99/lb at Teets in AVL and thought I got a deal.
