Let me know if any of you have experience with any of these wines. They will all be firsts for me.

I fear we have different income situations when it comes to bachelor parties. Looks like a great time though!

I drank a bunch of Coors light and keystone on my. Bachelor party, this looks pretty sweet

Sole meunière, wagyu loin, roast duck AND braised short rib??? At the same dinner?

Wines are great. Harlan may be a disappointment, if that can be said, after you try the Unico.

  4. theblackgate19

Yeah, I’ve had the those vintages of Les Clos, the Unico, and the Dal Forno. Both the reds are really really young. The Unico in particular will need some serious decanting, but the Dal Forno is going to be massive.
I’ve had the Pergole Torte and D’Yquem, but not those vintages. The Pergole Torte is such a spectacular wine, but I tend to like that style over the big bruisers like Harlan and Dal Forno.
Regardless, this is an embarrassment of riches and I’m stoked for you guys. Cheers to the groom, and happy partying.

Krug? Harlan? VS Unico? D’Yquem? Brother give me your buddy’s number I wanna be his friend

My bachelor party was $2 beers and 50 cent oysters in New Orleans. I’m also open to this, though!

  7. Krug 170 – should be great! I didn’t love the 171, but all of the surrounding GC’s I’ve had have been very good (168, 169, 170, 172)

I wasn’t a huge fan of the William Fevre Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent 2022 I had earlier this year – In my opinion they use too much oak. But haven’t had the Le Clos.

I had the 2014 Unico earlier this year and it was very good but definitely still super young. Haven’t had the ’11 but I imagine it will be similar. Probably a couple hours decanting warranted.

Had the 2010 d’Yquem recently and it was so good. Can’t speak to the ’17 – definitely on the younger side but I imagine still outstanding. I have a couple other ’17 Sauternes in the cellar from different producers but haven’t tried them yet.

Hope to see some tasting notes later on, cheers and congrats to the groom!

Suggest to get 1-2 wines that are much more matured. At this quality, the budget would probably have to go up a lot, but looks like you can swing it

So the fireball shot is a surprise off-menu tasting? You dawg that’s gonna be a great surprise addition.

There’s no forgiveness in the sole or the strip loin. Unless you have a chef coming, getting these two right and out to service is real professionalism. I’d be considering replacing the Harlan with an Ornellaia.

  11. Massive_Client7729

You can’t go wrong with krug, vega Sicilia, and chateau d’yquem! All awesome.

  12. bluesgrrlk8

Do a parmesan crusted baked artichoke heart instead of the second round of polenta, with the short rib & Amarone. I feel like that would be such an amazing combo.

This party menu makes me wish I was a bachelor!

  13. Extreme-Road1588

For the record you’re a lot classier than my husband and his friends!

  14. mayormaynotbelurking

Dude that Unico is an absolute diamond! What an exciting menu!

  15. Edward_Shoehornhands

I’d led the Yquem speak for itself. Maybe serve after the torta Della nonna.

  16. ButObviously

Maybe a Bordeaux with age that is going to be a little more delicate then the harlan and then you can increase the intensity with the unico and amarone to follow.

At the price of harlan you could easily do an aged first growth like a 2000 lafite

  17. Entire_Toe2640

I’m so old that I remember when a bachelor party was beer and a visit to Mons Venus in Tampa. But, in my current situation, this looks awesome.

  18. EddyDrop_productions

Dal forno is amazing, maybe pergole torte might be slightly young but great expression of Sangiovese. Ending with Yquem is like being brought instantly to heaven😂

    👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼🔥🔥🔥

  20. DangerousWishbone445

That is a hell of a menu! Fantastic pairings as well, I love champagne with carpaccio. Please post photos of the dishes and wines after the party.

  21. chekraze90

I know I’m in the minority here, but it seems like every dish is very rich even the fish. I love the individual selections, but I guess for my constitution is too much to have all in one night.

  22. Disastrous_Square_10

Looks tits. I’m not sure about the Krug pairing but Krug is always delicious and likely goes with anything. Hope you have some wine lovers in the room. Some bucket list shit there. You’re a good friend.

I’ve had the pleasure of drinking 2021, 2019, 2017, and 2013 d’yquem and I have to say that there is literally no wrong answer but 2017 might be the most right. It hits my personal sweet spot(ha), 8 years of age which tempered the flavor but still all of the fresh notes intact. Cheers to your friend on the wedding; these are fantastic wines!

Jesus are you all fucking investment bankers or something?

Would kill for this lineup, but even being a hitman I wouldn’t make enough.

    Great lineup all around. Enjoy.

Bring back the Raveneau now that you’re not drinking it straight after a smoke break. Will be remarkable for anyone who has a palate. Ditch the Dal Forno, the 2012 was one of the most disappointing wines I’ve ever had. Slide Harlan to that slot on the menu, shift Pergole Torte to pair with the Duck, shift Unico to pair with Waygu Striploin, and bring on a red Burgundy for the Porcini Agnolotti with sage and truffle. Gevrey-Chambertin 1er, Vosne 1er, or Clos Vougeot would all be killer and without overtaking the entire budget as Burgundy can do.

Please don’t print a word document for a menu. Use Canva at least.
