If you need a break from holiday cooking, you’re in luck. Many New Orleans restaurants will be open on Christmas Day so you can celebrate the holiday without the stress.
Chefs are rolling out special Christmas menus featuring festive drinks and holiday favorites like prime rib and bread pudding. Some spots are even offering traditional Réveillon dishes at fixed prices.
We found a number of restaurants that are accepting reservations on Thursday, Dec. 25. Reservations will book up fast, so you’ll want to make them in advance.

Christmas meals/specials: The restaurant will be open on Christmas Day, offering a special Réveillon dinner. Throughout December, guests can enjoy a 4-course prix fixe menu for $75.
Christmas meals/specials: The restaurant’s Christmas Day menu features a “decadent” 16 oz slow-roasted prime rib, carved tableside and served with rich house Bordelaise and golden Yorkshire pudding. À la carte options will also be available.

Christmas meals/specials: Through Dec. 30, the restaurant is serving a four-course prix fixe Réveillon dinner for $55. The meal includes Grilled Alligator Sausage, Roasted Duck & Black-Eyed Pea Gumbo, Crawfish Cavatappi Pasta, and Traditional New Orleans Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce.
