It’s a new week, which means it’s time to mine Landman’s latest episode for North Texas Easter eggs. The West Texas-set oil rig drama, co-created by Taylor Sheridan, has shot across Dallas-Fort Worth. The script, accordingly, reflects the milieu.
In episode four of the second season, Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), his ex-wife, Angela (Ali Larter), and their daughter, Ainsley (Michelle Randolph), embark on a road trip to Canadian — a town in the Texas Panhandle — for a funeral.
The group ventures north, passing towns like Stanton, but there are still D-FW references elsewhere in the episode’s scenes with Cami Miller (Demi Moore). The Fort Worth Star-Telegram was first to report on the local ties.
61 Osteria
News Roundups
Cami meets cartel boss Gallino (Andy Garcia) at a restaurant to broker a business deal. The scene shows the interior of 61 Osteria, an Italian restaurant in Fort Worth. Landman actors Paulina Chávez and James Jordan have dined there in the past. The spot also appeared in the second season of Lioness, another Sheridan show.

“Oh Monty, I am trying very hard not to be mad at you,” she says to his headstone, referring to M-Tex Oil’s precarious financial situation.
Oakwood Cemetery, located near downtown Fort Worth, is the resting place of Texas’ 21st governor, Charles Allen Culberson, and of the former owner of Sheridan’s 6666 Ranch, Samuel Burk Burnett.
Spotlight on a local realtor
Cami’s mansion that she shared with Monty is hitting the market. She tells her assistant to call Martha Williams, a real-life Fort Worth realtor specializing in luxury properties.
