I love these. Ive been eating sardines for over thirty years but this subreddit got me to try these a few years ago and I’ve been a big fan since. I usually have these on a bagel with cream cheese and some chives. Ive had all the brands you got but I typically buy the Season Brand with no salt added.

Ive been eating kippers since before I can remember and I’m about to be 50. I buy fancy tins, I buy cheap tins. Kippers are my favorite of them all.

Do you kipper fans enjoy them straight from the tin? I’ve only tried those in water/brine so far and found it to be rather… bland. I smother them in Coleman’s mustard, which is good, but didn’t leave a lot of pure kipper left to taste.

The polar brand kippers almost have a slight buttery taste. They are so good!

I love most of them. Just be careful and read the label. There is a huge difference between naturally smoked and smoke flavored.

I just realized the kippers I get from Ollie’s for like $1 are not Crown Prince. They’re the Ocean Prince tin you have here.
