    400 ml lukewarm water

    200 ml lukewarm milk

    1 sachet baking powder

    1 sachet fresh yeast (40 g)

    0.5 tbsp salt

    About 800 g flour

    1 tbsp olive oil

    For coating:

    2 tbsp yoghurt

    2 egg yolks

    Sesame seeds

    Black cumin seeds

    Preparation

    1. Put the yeast in a bowl. Add milk, water, salt, and sugar. Mix until dissolved.

    2. Add the rest of the ingredients (slowly add the flour) and knead into a soft, smooth dough.

    3. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.

    4. Divide the dough into 4–5 pieces and shape into round patties.

    5. Place baking paper on a tray, sprinkle some breadcrumbs, and put 2–3 dough pieces on it. Cover and rest again for 10–15 minutes.

    6. Mix yoghurt and egg yolk, then spread over the dough patties.

    7. Press with your fingers to make the traditional pide shape.

    8. Sprinkle sesame and black cumin seeds on top.

    9. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 20–30 minutes.

    10. After baking, cover with a clean towel and let it cool.
