    As it was a special occasion- my BFF took me to Nobu. I had their pre-set lunch special. And it was special. The glaze on the black cod (sablefish) was amazing!

    I got this recipe from the internet:
    Ingredients:
    4 black cod fillets
    1/2 cup white miso paste
    3 tbsp sake
    3 tbsp mirin
    1/3 cup granulated sugar
    Marinade for at least 8 hours.

    Funny, I cooked this tonight. Delicious. The black cod supply is intermittent but reasonably priced, so I buy a few pieces when it comes around, individually package and thaw/marinate/broil as appropriate.

    I am always interested how a restaurant (or at home foodie) applies black miso , because it varies so very much. Picture looks good though ! Overcooking cod is a sore spot
