I got my first Niche as a gift for a family member so I only had a week or so to play with it before taking it cross country. I have been wanting to find another but could not find a good deal for a while since the tariffs made them a $800 grinder and most used ones are selling for $400-600. Finally after keeping my eyes peeled on marketplace I found a deal that couldn’t be missed. After a quick deep clean it was good as new, and I’m happy to have it back on my bar. I forgot how easy it was to clean, calibrate, and push out a great shot.

I am happy I decided to put so many outlets and dedicated circuits in my coffee station, I got room for 1 more grinder. Hopefully I can find a second hand single dose flat burr grinder in the coming year.

Out of curiosity how do you find the differences between the Key and the Niche?

Remember when niche was like the go to zero retention grinder that was super good? I remember shopping for my first grinder and thinking people were stupid as hell for paying that much to grind coffee.

Out of curiosity, why you need 4 grinders?
