    **Velveeta Fudge Recipe**

    **Ingredients**

    * ½ lb Velveeta cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
    * 1 cup salted butter, cut into cubes
    * ½ cup cocoa powder
    * 7 ½ cups powdered sugar
    * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    * 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

    **Instructions**

    1. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
    2. In a large bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and cocoa to remove lumps.
    3. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, combine the Velveeta and butter. Microwave for 1 minute, stir, then continue in 30-second intervals until fully melted and smooth.
    4. Pour the hot mixture over the powdered sugar and cocoa. Mix until smooth and well combined. The fudge thickens quickly, so work fast.
    5. Stir in the vanilla and nuts, if using.
    6. Spread the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
    7. Let it cool at room temperature until firm, then cut into squares.

    **Notes**

    * Velveeta gives the fudge a surprisingly smooth and creamy texture without adding a cheesy flavor.
    * This recipe sets up fast, so having everything ready beforehand helps.
    * Store in an airtight container; it keeps well at room temp or in the fridge.

    Interesting, stupid question maybe, but does it taste like cheese?

    Please tell me this isn’t real. It might be great, they look it. But, I can’t get over the mental ick factor.

    I was just talking about how my grandma used to make fudge with Velveeta. It was absolutely mind blowing when she told me. Couldnt taste it whatsoever.

    Off topic, but I realized from your flair that my favorite knoephla soup recipe is from your site. I gotta say, it’s really freaking good. This fudge looks good but the concept freaks me out a bit, haha.

    At first I thought this would be a normal recipe with a small amount of Velveeta as a secret ingredient for texture or something.

    But this is literally Velveeta and cocoa. Speechless.

  7. I grew up in the 80s and this is what my mom and aunt would make every year. If you didn’t tell people they would never know.

    This was SO POPULAR in the 80’s! Glad you’re keeping it alive!

  9. zazzle_frazzle

    This is a classic in my family. My mom has made it yearly for decades. You’d never know there’s Velveeta in it.
