Paris adds a new star to its constellation of mythical places. In the heart of the very chic 16ᵉ arrondissement, Ducasse Baccarat has just been crowned the most beautiful restaurant in the world by the Prix Versailles 2025, which each year distinguishes the most beautiful architectural achievements on the planet. Housed on the second floor of Maison Baccarat, in a 19thᵉ century mansion on Place des États-Unis, this restaurant is much more than a table: it’s a total showcase of French art de vivre.
A crystal case suspended between heritage and creation

In this historic setting, the décor has been designed as a true sensory experience. Interior designer Aliénor Béchu and her team imagined a poetic dialogue between materials: raw oak, moldings, gilding, marble and, of course, Baccarat crystal sparkling everywhere.
Above the tables, a shower of blown crystal drops seems to fall from the sky. The light dances, reflects and fragments, giving the place an almost unreal atmosphere. Oak screens create alcoves reminiscent of a cabinet of curiosities, contrasting with the majesty of the volumes and the heritage of the building.
It was this blend of contemporary sophistication and heritage that seduced the jury, making Ducasse Baccarat as much an aesthetic manifesto as a restaurant.
Three chefs, one vision of haute gastronomy

In the kitchen, the place brings together three generations of talent: Alain Ducasse, an emblematic figure in the world of gastronomy, Christophe Saintagne and Robin Schroeder. Together, they reinterpret the codes of French cuisine in a highly precise score.
On the plate, the combinations are audacious and ultra-masterful: for example, lobster served in a tapioca bath scented with rose, sea bream married with citron and fennel, or chocolate from the Ducasse factory escorted by a touch of coriander.
Menus start at around €90 at lunchtime and rise to between €180 and €240 in the evening for a complete experience, in perfect harmony with the setting and the quality of service.
To dine at Ducasse Baccarat is to tick off an address that promises as much for the eyes as for the palate: immersion in a crystal theater where every detail – from decor to dressage – tells a certain idea of Paris, between discreet luxury, assumed creativity and pure beauty.
