I mean it was in the deep freezer. Maybe thaw it out then re-asses?

Hell, I’d fire them up, what’s the worst that could happen, you throw them out anyway?

FDA says that meat, properly frozen, is safe indefinitely. I’ve grilled steaks way older, it’s fine. May not be as tasty as it once was but definitely edible.
StunningFig5624
As long as the meat isn’t freezer burned to death it’s probably fine. I’ve eaten older.
frankiejayiii
they will cook up just the same and worst case scenario you dice it all up and make street tacos add onion, cilantro a little bit of oil into a pan put them on some tortillas with cheese, sour cream, and beans and they’ll be excellent street tacos
RedCliff73
Shit, those are fine! You’ll know of its bad by the smell right away. Not a rotten meat smell, but freezer burn smell. If it smells okay, cook it up!
Worst case scenario is you toss it after cooking it. I bet its fine
awesometakespractice
those are absolutely fine. thaw them out and get cooking.

Fire them up. I found some 3 year old picannas earlier this year in my freezer and they were great.
Interesting_Oil6328
Hell no it isn’t. I smoked a 6 year old brisket a few years ago. It wasn’t Grade A stuff but it was better than throwing it in the trash.
Fishboy9123
I found a 3 year old porterhouse and some venison cube steaks that were probably closer to 5 the other day. I made Hungarian goulash out of them. It was delicious and no one in the family had any problems.

Can’t even get Tri Tip out here. I’d go for it

Sir you have a deep freezer and didn’t understand how freezing preserves meat?
Huh?
Terrible_Resource_87
Should be good to go!

I’d cook those, easy. Hell I still regularly cook halibut from an Alaskan trip in 2023. If you’ve got a deep-freezer stuff keeps a remarkably long time
kurtisbmusic
Just FYI, these were not vacuum sealed (by me at least) and my wife is pregnant lol. Might be too risky for her to eat but I’m defrosting right now and might just cook it for myself. Worst case scenario: a stray dog eats like a king.

Stay where you are, I’m coming to get it for proper disposal
Several_Direction633
Vacuum sealed from the store. Frozen the whole time. Nothing is wrong with them.
GeorgianIvy
I’m pretty sure they’re fine.
PumpkiNibbler
Cut off any freezer burn just because it tastes not as good otherwise have your way with it
