  1. We got a Yoder smoker 4 or 5 years ago and I cook on it year round. It’s currently 12f outside and there is a little 140mm fan assembly on the hopper that squeals like a dying pig because of the ambient temperature…. I just went out in the garage and collected my heat gun, plugged it up and blew warm air on the fan until it fell into line so I could cook some fire ass prime rib burgers,

Yeah, I grill/smoke all year. Typically, at least 3 days a week I fire that dude up.

I never understood the summer bbq season. I’d rather be tending an open flame when it’s 30 degrees, not 90. I do my most/best bbqing when it’s cold out.

Grilling season is every day that ends in Y

I used to get mad that Costco didn’t sell charcoal all year round and say “grilling is an all season sport!”. Then I found out my local restaurant supply store sold 50lb bags of good quality lump charcoal for a great price. It was like finding the holy grail.

Truth; but, I have a Primo Kamando and I get paranoid it will crack in the 30’s or below. Even though I see people doing it all the time by heating it slowly.

  8. Grilling during winter has been my go to for awhile. Im in texas, i never understood mfs grilling during summer, the average temp during summer here 100 degrees, im not standing by a pit of flames in that.

I’m with you on that. I grill 2-4 nights a week all year.

I try and grill all year long but when the snow is 2-3 feet higher than the grill and the temps are -30° , it’s a little bit more difficult. Winters are very different depending on where you live.
