Smoked Gouda cheese over shrimp, fresh basil and sliced red onions with vodka sauce. Doesn’t look great but damn it tastes good.

    Interesting flavor combo. I don’t doubt it’s bomb. I’m just… processing

Not bad.. but next time 1.Pizza base – 2.Sauce – 3.cheese – 4. Topping – 5 optional small sprinkle of cheese on top

  3. Probably the most non-traditional first attempt at pizza in history

Smoked Gouda with shrimp and basil is quite the choice

Instead of shitting on you, a couple tips.

Dough should be rolled out much thinner depending on what style you’re going for.

Higher temp for a quicker cook. Pizza Stone if possible for what I’m guessing is an oven bake.

Try a low moisture mozz instead Gouda. Also, I wouldn’t recommend extravagant toppings like shrimp until you have a few cheese only under your belt.

Solid first attempt and don’t let these people give you trouble. Run it back.

    There’s a fleshiness to this pizza that I don’t care for…

idk how to tell you this but that’s a pregnancy craving ass pizza if i’ve ever seen one

My dad’s favorite pizza is shrimp, red onion, black olive, and feta, honestly pretty tasty so I’d try this lmao

  9. As ugly as it looks and as bad as the ingredients combination is, this is way more honest than all those “first time” fake posts showing perfect looking chef-level food.
You get my upvote for this pi…ece of creation.

I’m not suggesting that you did. However it really looks like you used cheese slices and didn’t take them out of the wrapper.

Gouda shrimp pizza? OP out here making one of a kind pizzas

The cheese you used is the biggest problem here. It bubbled up like plastic like I’ve only seen Kraft American do.

Me: Oooo! A Buffalo chicke- *looks at ingredients* Urp! Nevermind.

  14. I don’t think I’ve ever had a vodka sauce pizza now that I think about it. Sounds good. I’d like to try one. Not with smoked gouda and shrimp though.

  15. Great attempt!

I gotta say I found your countertop even more fascinating than the pizza. Only in certain countries could you find a bottle of 15 day cleanse pills in between almost empty boxes of pretzel rolls and a large jar of candy lolol! 😆

I love this. It’s absolutely awesome that you enjoyed it, and shared it out. I grew up in a multigenerational pizza parlor. I’ve seen divine pies and ugly ones but the secret to pizza is there is no wrong way to do pizza.

If you like it, go for it! I hope it fosters a spark for you to keep experimenting. Be adventurous, try different styles and recipes. Good luck and keep pizzaing!

I love making homemade pizza. My mom used to have a bread maker so she would be able to make the dough from scratch too.

I’m not that fancy but I’ve gotten into making my own French breads with the big french bread loaves they sell at Walmart for a buck. Good for 4 pizzas and doesn’t cut the roof of my mouth like the boxed ones. I’ll mix garlic and butter and coat the underside of the bread, and add my toppings, and cook at 400 for 12-15 minutes.

I thought this was kitchencells at first. What a shitty pizza.

  19. I did pizza Fridays for about a year and a half, should probably get back into it (predictably, started in the middle of 2020).

Not bad for a first shot—by the 5th or 6th, I’d bet you’ll have changed things up to the point that you are very happy with the results.

If you’re posting, people are going to criticize or give advice—take the pieces that sound right to you and incorporate them into the next attempt but at the end of the day, it’s about whether or not you like eating the pizza. I found the iterative improvement to be a very fun exercise in creativity, hope you experience a similar process!
