Just got the new planetary wdt from normcore. It seems to do a much better job than the very popular mhw bomber one.

But I found my shots run slower than when doing manual wdt even though the grind size is the same.

I’m waiting for those automatic tamping machines to start doing wdt beforehand, that’d be neat

What does it do different than the mew version?

  3. I usually see people putting a paper filter in first before the grounds.

People do way too much just for their espresso to taste 4% better.

I was in Italy and loved the espresso so much I joined this sub.

I learned I will never ever make my own espresso.

I don’t understand putting the paper filter on top. If you are using a paper filter, it goes on bottom.

I guess it can kinda serve as a makeshift puck screen? But I’m not sure how well it really performs that task

I have it. Its okay. When pressing too fast and hard it makes a vortex and not leave u with the best puck

Its. Fine. Nothing ground breaking. similar to manual wdt… or autocomb. Or the mhw3 bomber one. They are all very very similar

What’s the volume of your output? Nice setup

What’s the rationale behind the pour being almost 50ml? I thought the ratio was meant to be 2:1

What’s that little white paper for?

What dosing funnel is that? I’m struggling to find one that fits underneath my df64 grinder, but this one seems like it could fit

How are you liking the normcore. I’m looking to get a planetary tool and was looking between this and the Aro Orbit
