Today is Luciadagen, or Saint Lucy’s day. These are lussekatter, which are a traditional Swedish bun served on Lucia morning. They’re a lightly sweet yeast bread, flavored with saffron (though I also add cardamom to mine, as American palates aren’t accustomed to saffron in bread!). There are a bunch of traditional shapes that are fun to make!
