It’s decent for fast food. I’m in Kyoto regularly and two butaman (pork buns, left) are usually a good quick dinner especially if I’ve been having big meals with colleagues past few days.
I also am regularly asked by my boss to pick up butaman and gyoza for his dinner if he’s going to be cutting it close on the Shinkansen from Tokyo to not finding much food open in Kyoto.

Honestly, I don’t quite understand why there are long queues to this shop in a lot of places. I tried their food and… it’s ok. Like if there’s no queue and I want something on their menu, sure. But I’m not waiting in a queue for their dumplings.

Well…..was it worth it?

The buns smell really good but taste bland to me
