This prime brisket was mislabeled and for a second I actually thought prime brisket hit $20 a pound ☠️

Saw a sign in the meat cases the other day, $75 off.
Still $300.
Pass.

Didn’t the red said he will make sure the prices will come back to normal once he will be in charge? …One year later…

Haven’t seen prime ribeye that low. 21.99 is what I have been seeing. Mislabeled brisket is funny but not cause someone who doesn’t buy a lot of beef might not know the difference.

I’m old enough to remember when my parents bought half a cow for $400

This time last year bone in rib roasts were 6.99/lb at kroger. I laughed at the prices this morning and bought a 9 lb pork butt for .99/lb. I guess im gonna have to eat more pork.

Just buy less dolls. You don’t need that many pencils either.

I’m going to need a Trump 50 year mortgage for this.

Paid $720 for a quarter cow about 5 months ago. Based off all the prices of everything I got. It was a good lejxe.

Meanwhile, the price of ground beef is pretty bad. Remember when one of the 1 pound rolls of 80/20 was like $1.50 just a few years ago?

Yeah, I would to. Retailers marking 100% margin.

The same roasts are on super sale at Safeway…

I bought 1/2 cow for $700 this summer – vacuum sealed & processed to my cut sheet. I calculated my cost at the local grocer and I saved $500+ by buying this way.

That’s what you pay for like 1lb of ribeye. Generally, prices go down when you buy meat in bulk.

Go to WinCo. You’re welcome.

Dang. Which Costco are you at? I just bought a whole ribeye with 7 bones for ~$340. Which was $15.99/lb for CHOICE! So $19.99/lb for a ribeye PRIME these days aren’t too out of the question.
Going to do a 4 bone prime rib and broke down the end pieces, plus the remaining 3 bones for some PHAT bone in ribeyes. Thought about doing Tomahawks but don’t have a use case for the rib meat this time around.

Are beef prices coming down? Cause I shop at Costco and have bought steak in like a year??? Used to think nothing of buying Prime ribeyes or filets in the past. Now wtf???

You must live in the north, I have similar prices

Brisket at Costco is $4.99 today, not bad.

Yeah, we are doing brisket this year.

I remember when the whole Prime Ribeye was $10.99/lb.

I would have had to drop the price $0.03 just to make the price and weight a square lol

Rib roasts have always been expensive- same as like 10-12 steaks. Throw Trump’s clown show affordability measure in there and $400 per roast isn’t unthinkable. Next Tuesday they’ll be close outs.

I think my dad paid that much for prime rib from Costco on Saturday… how much should it be

475 before Thanksgiving but they were marked down 75.
