I found these at H-Mart this week and had to give them a shot. They are super crunchy, almost like a potato chip, but pretty much just deep-fried sardines with seasoning. I don’t know if this is allowed because they’re technically not canned, but they are a shelf stable sardine so maybe that counts? They had two flavors, this one and a plain one. I didn’t try the plain one, but I think I would’ve preferred those. This seasoning was very sweet and sugary, which is fine for just a couple of them, but I could never eat an entire serving at once without being overwhelmed by the sugar. Definitely worth a shot if you ever see them at your local Asian grocery store.

I’m sure it’s fine, I’ve seen people post fresh sardines or dried fish before.

I’ve had this exact package, they’re pretty great. amazing to just have a couple as a snack, but I agree they are weirdly sugary.

for others looking for dried sardines, check your local asian market , they likely have many different brands of dried/fried sardines, I’ve had bags of them that weren’t sugary at all.

Ive had dried deens a few times, always so good. I wouldn’t have known of them if it wasn’t for this sub. All things in the spirit of the subs are welcome.
