$2 a can. Awful.

I like a bit of honest slop but I hate when the sauce has that glossy, smeary gravy texture and appearance.

You may not be poor. That could be the problem. You’re not the target demographic.

  3. AddendumTiny223

Are you saying it tastes awful or the price is awful?

  4. thatguywithatoaster

I’ve had this. It wasn’t that bad. It’s $2/can, you can’t expect much

i don’t like chili but i remember when we were dirt poor, i thought some of the other flavors were DELICIOUS

Don’t buy canned pasta of any sort. The canning process acts like a pressure cooker and it will overcook the pasta every single time.

Tell me you weren’t poor as a kid without telling me you weren’t poor as a kid. I grew up on the black and white label ravioli and spaghetti and meatballs in a can as a kid. I still remember they were .10 cents a can. I’d eat that.

Really $2? These are $4.50 at my grocery store, currently on sale for $2.99 i was just looking at them. East coast USA

Anyone ever try those dinty moore beef stew cans? So good

    Damn, that looks good.
I only had boiled eggs and leftover rice this lunch. Lol.

I though that text said “Slop that tastes like a meal” would honestly be more accurate

I’m only commenting to say that I could probably eat that in the dark, wearing only underwear at about 3:00 a.m. and not feel too bad about myself.

I believe the VP described it as “Bio engineered meat. Shit food for poor people”?

My go to is the Jazzy Jambalaya or Chicken & Sausage gumbo. I tend to get the reduced sodium ones if possible because these cans are like 40% salt and it’s all i can taste. Hot sauces or something alike is a requirement to enjoy these but you really can’t beat the price point to calories at $2 a pop.

Lot of Campbells chunky are good for what it is, while some are a miss. This is the latter.

  16. aznassasin

For 2 dollars, I’d learn to enjoy it

  17. YcemeteryTreeY

Campbells..didnt the CEO say something recently about their products? Even the people that make it are disgusted

I thought that was dog food 😂

I can feel heartburn just by looking at the picture.

Try the gumbo. I like that one.

Its only $2/can when it’s on sale. But for $2 its perfectly acceptable. Not sure what you were expecting for $2

Love how top comments are just ragging on OP for not being poor enough.

  23. I don’t know why, but I’ve ended up with an emotional support can of chunky Campbell. I got it like almost 2 years ago now i think and I just keep it on a shelf nearby. I was originally going to eat it within a few weeks but now I just like having it there. Apparently a Campbell can is good for up to 3 years past it’s expiration date so i still have plenty of time.

Do you reckon this counts as a soup?

  25. artsyfartsymikey

$2!?!? It’s $4 here! Get the Steak and Potatoes! Shit is fire

I usually get the off brand/ store brand at Aldi or Save-a-lot.
Haven’t seen this one, but I’d definitely try it.

I like the sirloin burger and the New England clam chowder chunky soups. Load up the clam chowder with an obscene amount of black pepper, it’s delicious.

Is it sweet? A lot of canned chilis are sweet.
