I built a wood-fired pizza oven from a 55-gallon barrel and baked smoky, crispy pizza in the mountains.
Step-by-step DIY barrel oven build + dough, meat topping and high-heat bake (wood-fired).
🥘 INGREDIENTS (pizza)
Flour, yeast, water, salt, lemon, herbs; meat topping mix (beef + spices)
🔎 METHOD (3 STEPS)
1) Barrel Oven Build — cut, assemble chimney & firebox; heat to wood-fired temp
2) Dough & Topping — knead, rest, roll; mix meat & spices
3) Bake — launch pizza, rotate, finish with lemon/herbs → crispy, smoky crust
