For now.. or at least until next month.

8kg should last me about three months. They're mostly vacuum sealed and being stored in the freezer.

Here's my super quick review of each bean from Perc as straight espresso shots :

  • Ethiopia Funky Wush Wush : 1/10. Would not drink and would not buy again. No idea what it's supposed to taste like. Did not taste any flavor notes from the bag. I wouldn't drink it even if you paid me.

  • Colombia Sebastian Ramirez Pink Bourbon : 5/10. Would drink but would not purchase again. Tasting notes are fairly accurate. Smooth but just not my cup of tea coffee. Would not pay to drink it at coffee shops but will drink it if it's offered for free. Some might enjoy it but it's not for me.

  • Colombia Young Producers' Program : 10/10. Surprisingly tart and sweet. Intense strawberry notes and these really do smell like Pink Starburst. Would definitely purchase again. One of the best coffees I had this year. I might actually stock up on these and these would be off-limits for my butler.

  • Colombia Diego Bermudez Castillo M-03 : 8/10. Would drink again but may or may not purchase again. Tasting notes are almost spot on. A bit cinnamonny at times. Very smooth, sweet, and really warms you up. Great for cold weather.

  • Colombia Edinson Argote Peach : TBD.

  • Colombia Edinson Argote Gesha : TBD.

I’m just curious why you would buy so much at once from one roaster? Also do you try other coffee methods other than espresso?

With all due respect, I question anyone who tells me a Sebastian Ramirez Bourbon is only 5/10

I had a Ethiopia from Perc but the next day or so it lost all aroma and taste unsure why but hope you enjoy the other 2 coffees

Oooh, I love Perc’s beans! I’ve found if there is a medium roast that just isn’t doing it for me, I will roast them a little longer to get a flavor that works. Or I will blend a bean with a darker roast, so I get the hints of both.

I currently have a subscription for their Chelchele. It is probably my favorite from Perc.

Try reaching out to Perc. I also could not get any good cups from the wush wush and they sent me a bag of the Cheleche for free. It’s sitting in my freezer because I apparently also have a coffee buying problem but a lot of people on the pourover sub love it.

I don’t know mate, that looks to me like you’re good until… next Wednesday

Freezing is not as good a fresh. If you’re not saving a ton of money then just buying small amounts of fresh, locally roasted is best

Why is perc 2-3 times more expensive than most other roasters???

I’m yet to find anything from perc that I enjoy
